FlyingDocs - offline document browsing for Joomla web sites

FlyingDocs

FlyingDocs is basically an iPad/iPhone application for downloading, synchronizing and offline browsing of documents that are stored on a remote web server. These documents must be stored on the web server running the Open Source Content Management System „Joomla“ and the very popular document management component called „Docman“.

Every web page that uses the CMS Joomla and the component Docman can be made compatible with this app FlyingDocs. The web master of the Joomla website must install and activate the free „FlyingDocs for Joomla“ component that is available on our web site www.airlinetools.com.

After installation of this app you can add your Joomla/Docman based web servers where you have a personal log-in.Having an account will enable you to log into the member section of this web site. In the member section you will probably find some documents ready for download.

The requirements in order to make full use of this app:

  1. •personal access to a web site running Joomla 1.5.x or newer

  2. •web site must run the component Docman 1.4, Docman 1.5 or newer

  3. •you must have a member account that will enable you to log into the member section


The web master must prepare the server:


  1. •install Docman 1.4, 1.5 or newer

  2. •install our free component FlyingDocs for Joomla“ to activate access from the iPad/iPhone app available HERE

  3. • the web master must enable your group or your person for access

  4. •the web master must enable one or more folders (called categories in Docman) for access
